Curiosities : ‘Eskimo’

Such a strange and intriguing shape. The Eskimo is all about displaying birdseye grain, which this example does fabulously well. Straight grain is displayed around the bowl.

There are 3 small imperfections in the briar on the underside of the shank. This is perfectly natural for briar. Normal practice would be to rusticate them out but then all the birdseye would be lost. I have elected to keep them.
